Any employee working on, at, above or near openings where the outside bottom edge of the opening is 4 feet or more above a lower level and the inside bottom edge of the opening is less than 39” above the working surface, will be protected from fall by use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, a personal fall arrest system, or personal fall restraint system or temporary measures (for example chain). Authorized employees will be trained on proper use of safety harness, work at height and fall hazard, when required to perform work at height. Asset protection/Loss Prevention staff will sometimes conduct work at height for specific tasks like installing cameras, checking burglar alarms, installing communication wiring among others. Asset Protection Managers will ensure that their employees receive adequate training on operation of any lifting devices for work at height, work at height and use of fall arrest system. Training will be provided either by an external contractors or internal certified trainers. Records of such training will be maintained by R&S Ladders and step ladders are used in operations in various tasks. EGNW will require employees to: • be fully trained on proper use of ladders. Training will be provided during orientation and monthly toolbox talks; • conduct inspection before each use; • use the right ladder for the job; • consider the weight of employees prior to purchase of ladder and use of ladder,

• return ladders to their designated storage areas, • secure ladders when not in use to prevent fall, • lock ladders when not in use to prevent unauthorized use.

9.7 Equipment/machines and other tools or work layouts Machinery and Equipment means all tools, accessories, parts, machinery, equipment, trucks, trailers and other rolling stock, furniture, office equipment, leasehold improvements, fixtures and trade fixtures. There are numerous physical hazards
