EGNW does not require an entry permit to enter the bailers, however, if, a recognized health and safety condition exist inside the machine, a proper permit shall be enforced by R&S. Departments that do not expect to enter any confined spaces are not required to develop a confined space entry plan. If a contractor or department needs to enter a confined space, they will contact R&S and the Outlet Manager for more information about the space. Confined space training will be provided to employees who are required to enter such area. R&S will provide confined space training and will maintain training records in R&S folder. Outlets Manager will inform R&S of new recruits and schedule their training. 9.6 Work at Height (WaH) Work at height means any works that require an individual to be exposed to risk of falling at or above 4 feet from an unprotected edge leading to injury or even death. EGNW recognized that there are work areas that would fall under the WaH (4 feet or above) rules like the mezzanine, dock areas and roof. The company will ensure that proper measures are implemented to prevent any fall related incidents. All repairs or maintenance requiring work at height will be contracted out. No EGNW employees will be allowed or authorized to conduct any such type of work at any time unless trained and authorized by management. Facilities will collaborate with contractors working on roofs or at height to ensure that a proper risk assessment is conducted by contractor, work at heights rules are observed, contractors’ employees observes all safety rules, wear their safety harnesses and are trained in use of harness as well as any work at height emergencies. Dock areas falling within the 4 feet rule or which has the potential for fall, will be protected by either a guardrail system or any other measures (permanent or temporary) to prevent falls. Most loading and unloading bays where trailers will be temporarily parked for such activities are equipped with shutters, once the trailers leave those shutters will be closed or a temporary guardrails will be used to prevent any fall or unauthorized access to any
