9.20.2 Wildfire smoke exposure EGNW recognized that its outdoor workers, in some circumstances, may be exposed to smoke arising from wildfire during certain months of the year. As an employer, EGNW will implement the following: • a written wildfire smoke response plan; • provide yearly training to exposed employees on the hazards, mitigations, and procedures for responding to wildfire smoke events; and • monitor air quality and if air quality Index is >150, the following actions will be initiated to protect exposed outdoor workers: • reducing, rescheduling, or relocating work; 9.20.3 Outdoor cold exposure EGNW has identified that employees at ADCs, Facilities and drivers would be exposed to severe cold weathers during winter seasons. As an employer, the following precautions will be implemented to protect employees: • Written increment weather plan; • Provide yearly training to recognize signs of cold stress and emergency actions through toolbox talks; • Plan to reduce, reschedule, or relocate work; and • Plan to reduce the work intensity or increase rest periods. 9.21 COVID-19 and other Health Pandemic EGNW will ensure that all COVID-19 Procedures affecting the business are followed and implemented. Refer to COVID-19 Procedure. EGNW will follow and implement any policies, procedures and guidelines released by the government following a health pandemic. EGNW will develop, train and communicate with its employees its Health Pandemic procedures, existing or updated. • reducing the work intensity or increasing the rest periods; and • providing respirators at no cost to the workers for voluntary use.
