Back Up Planning (Slowing it down)

Having a back-up-plan starts with creating the plan. It begins by slowing it all down. Slowing down the donor line first. Yes, sometimes you have to slow it down to ensure good customer service, cleanliness and organization for both staff and donors. Just make sure that you have one person letting donors know how long the wait is and why. Car count backwards !

Next, make sure if pallets, cages and half carts are outside that they are in designated spots for ease of sorting and palletizing . This is a must to keep items from being on the ground. Lastly, try and not pull other staff from other departments to help.
