Denying Furniture

Our furniture policy states that we do not except furniture items with the following issues :

• Rips • Tears • Holes • Overly used • Odors • Missing parts • Broken • Chip • Cracked • Busted • Moldy • Pet hair

If a Donor does try and donate something that does not meet our standards, let them know in an empathetic tone that you are unable to accept their item and then explain why. GOODWILL DOES NOT CLEAN OR REPAIR ITEMS. Hand them a “Transfer and Hazmat Guide” and let them know where they can take it.
