Introduction It is the time of year when we have both Halloween and Holiday out on the floor. Please read through the following information to help the transition be as smooth as possible. The new goods team will be shipping most Holiday New Goods by category, some late items may be shipped with general New Goods deliveries. Please be sure to check the category on the packing slips and follow the shop layout as close as possible. The change from Halloween to Holiday happens in stages. Please be sure to read the timeline details and review the layouts and examples with all associates involved with creating the Holiday shop.

Everyday cold weather items, with the exception of holiday items, will be merchandised on end grids and are not part of the shop.

Please look at all of the layouts attached and contact the merchandising team with any questions or concerns.

Timeline: Holiday Set-Up Important Dates/Signage Halloween -50% off, November 1 st

Black Friday Sale, November 24 th After Christmas Sale, Dec. 26 th

Timeline: Holiday Shop Replaces Halloween Shop • Categories (see layout for placement based on size, shape and fixtures): • Gift Wrap • Home • Holiday Socks/Accessories • Toys • Textiles • Fashion Focus Tables and 3-ways can be used for donated Holiday textiles • Merchandise to Fashion Focus Standards • Only current Signage is to be used on the floor • Gift Box Tree Topper

Timeline – Holiday Set Up in all Stores Transition and Set-up : • The layout of the shop changes from leading off with New Goods and ending with Donated to leading off with Donated and ending with New Goods. • As Halloween New Goods sell down consolidate towards donated Halloween • Keep categories together as much as possible. • As donated Halloween sells, consolidate towards the drive aisle. • Lifestyle aisles designated for donated product will transition to Holiday as soon as product is available • Christmas Donated Range Boxes will be available to order starting Friday, October 15 th • Separate by category as much as possible • Lifestyle aisle designated for Holiday New Goods will transition as the product arrives. • End caps may also be changed to Holiday New Goods. • Pack up new goods Halloween on date provided by new goods team. • Re-set aisles with donated Holiday on aisles shown on layout • Separate by category • Dishware • Décor • Decorations (ornaments, lights, etc..) • Gift wrap • Rag off donated Halloween and re-merchandise with new goods as shown on layout.

• Toppers and Outriggers will transition to Holiday as Halloween sells down • Consolidate Halloween displays forward towards the front of the store • Follow with Holiday • Do not mix Halloween and Holiday • It is ok to have displays in every other outrigger (vs. every one) • Christmas trees should be built and brought to the floor as soon as they are available • Designate an area for Christmas Trees for the entire season. • Some options are: • End of Furniture (back to back open area) • Remove one Furniture table (replace with trees) • Contact visual team for help with placement if there are any questions or concerns. • Be sure to test all trees if they have lights • If lights do not work, note on tag and price accordingly

Grid Gift Box Trees Set up

Each store will be receiving new Gift Box “Trees” to attach to the grid shop.

Please use black zip ties (as shown) to secure to grid .

Use Black zip ties to make an “x”

Place the “Tree” over the middle of the H-Grid”

Using black zip ties attach the Tree through the pre-drilled holes in an “x”.

The “tail” of the zip tie should face the inside.

Carefully cut off the “tails”.

It should look like this.

To attach to Lozier end caps. Please use command adhesive (as shown) to secure to inside of end cap .

Use (4) sets of command adhesive

(Place one set in each corner).

Pull end cap away from end of lozier aisle.

Clean inside peg board (or solid center)

Remove paper backing from command strips

Center on end cap and line up edge with underside of top rail on end cap

Press FIRMLY and hold for about 30 seconds

Move end cap back into place

**There will be a small gap between the end of lozier and end cap. This is OK. When items are placed in last section of lozier, it will not show .

Best Practices How to prepare

Here are some helpful hints to make consolidating your Halloween Shop and putting up your Holiday Shop happen at the same time. Preparation and organization are the key. Even if your winter new goods are currently on End Grids, you can get them ready to move ahead of time. • Organize all Holiday New Goods by category and type as they are processed • Gift wrap together, Toys together, etc… • Consolidate remaining Halloween New Goods • Keep categories together as much as possible • Consolidate remaining Donated Halloween • Move towards Drive Aisle • Keep like items together • Consolidate remaining Halloween displays • Move towards front of the store • Start assembling artificial trees as soon as possible • Create a forest of trees in specified location • Keep it full

Neat, Clean & Organized = Sales • Clean shelves, fixtures, and merchandise before stocking • Restock misplaced items • Replenish empty spaces (shelves and hooks) with merchandise • Remove any damaged or broken items on the fixtures • Organize merchandise on fixtures for shop-ability • Pick up items left on the floor from the night before • Maintain all fixtures, sign holders, dressing rooms, and floors clean of dust and dirt
