All stores should schedule dedicated costume consultants for each weekend for October 11:00-3:00 shifts What is a costume consultant? • An associate that is knowledgeable and excited about the Halloween product in their store. • An associate that asks qualifying questions to help a customer quickly create a costume. • An associate that is creative and enjoys helping customers build a complete costume. • An outgoing, friendly associate with the ability to upsell. Why a costume consultant? • Vital to store sales. • Responsible for maintaining one of your busiest departments during a busy season. • Excellent guest experience. Expectations of the costume consultant: • Dedicated to department. This should be their primary responsibility during established costume consultant hours. • Know and maintain department and Halloween resources. • Approach and assist customers to create a full costume, including donated and new goods. • Wears appropriate costumes during all costume consultant shifts.
